WELSNA Spring Conference 2012
On Saturday, May 5th about 45 WELS nurses and student nurses met at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI for a wonderful day of spiritual encouragement, education, fellowship and networking! Our theme for the day was… Nurses working together as servants of Jesus Christ—around the corner and around the world—exploring ways to serve our Lord as we serve in the world around us.

Maria Reese RN Commissioned into CAMM
On July 15th, Maria Reese was commissioned at St John’s (Red Wing, MN) as the next Clinic Administrator for the Lutheran Mobile Clinic in Malawi, Africa. Kari Belter, who is the current clinic administrator and will be the nurse in charge was able to attend (she is a close friend of Maria). Kari is the shorter person in the photo. Megan Behl who will be the nurse in charge in 2013 is also in the photo as she drove from Rochester to attend the commissioning. It is unusual to have 3 CAMM staff in one location for a service! One current (Kari) and two very soon (Maria and Megan). Also in the photo are Linda Liesener – stateside communicator, Carole Hart (next to Maria) - committee secretary and Beth Evans - committee nurse coordinator. Please pray for Maria as she travels to Africa to work in the harvest fields of Malawi.
