WELSNA Nurses needed to represent WELSNA at local district conventions or WELS events! (posted 11/25)
- In an effort to spread the word about the new WELS Nurses Association, a table display and educational materials have been developed about WELSNA and WELS Parish Nursing so that nurses may go to WELS events or the Synod/district Conventions. Members of the WELSNA and Parish Nurse Councils have manned tables at these events and always enjoy meeting other people/Pastors. But travel costs prevent us from reaching out to opportunities around the country. Might you enjoy attending a WELS event in your area and representing WELSNA? We could easily mail you the display and materials, facilitating your attendance at these opportunities! Contact Sue at welsnurses@wels.net with your ideas or questions. Let's talk!

Spring 2014 WELSNA Conference Committee Chair & Members Needed! (11/25)
- A WELS RN is needed to volunteer as one time committee chairperson of the WELSNA Spring 2014 Conference! The WELSNA Council is more than willing to help but would appreciate someone to take the organizational lead! Synod people help with developing promotional materials. Ideas for a conference theme and speakers being developed already. The date and location is already set (WLC on March 29th). We are catering the meals from WLC. We usually don't lack for willing hands to serve on the committee but could use your God-given organizational skills to coordinate the details!
Want to join us for the next 2014 WELSNA Spring Conference Planning Committee? For questions or to indicate your desire, contact our Council Coordinator, Amy Taglienti at ataglienti@wlcfs.org.
Might you want to serve on the committee? Contact Amy too!

Nurses Needed for Quarterly WELSNA Newsletter
- We are looking for 2-3 nurses who might want to serve on an editorial staff of a quarterly WELSNA newsletter. Because of modern technology, distance from Synod offices is no longer a concern for the team. The template for the newsletter is now being developed and Synod staff will handle each issue’s lay out work. The editor and perhaps one or two other helpers would plan the topics for each issue and then search for knowledgeable and capable authors. Or if someone has a story to tell but doesn’t want to write the article, perhaps the team might conduct a phone or email interview and write the article as happens often in the Forward in Christ. This is your chance to put those organizational and writing skills to work! More questions? Contact WELSNA at welsnurses@wels.net.
