Spotlight on the New postings:

Are you an entry level nursing student?  We would love to see you at the 2018 WELSNA Spring Conference.  The cost for a nursing student is only $15.  Registration opens March 1st.  This is a great way to develop the professionalism aspect of you role as a nurse.

2018 WELSNA Spring Conference - Save the date

The 2018 WELSNA Spring Conference will be held in New Ulm, MN at Martin Luther Collge on Saturday, April 21st. Our theme is "Christ Centered Nursing Care Across the Spectrum of Life".  Our theme Bible passage is Psalm 73:26  "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."  We will be encouraged and enriched by five wonderful Christian speakers.
Looking for something to do on Friday evening before the conference?  We will be taking a roadtrip to nearby Mankato on Friday, April 20th to visit the recently started nursing program at Bethany Lutheran College.  This pre-conference activity is planned for 6-8 pm.
Please prayerfully consider coming to our spring conference. You will be nurtured, encouraged, enriched, learn of mission opportunities and enjoy the fellowship of WELS/ELS nurses.
Watch for more details to be posted soon.  We hope to see you there.

Pastor Ben Sadler will be our devotional leader for the Spring Conference.
Pastor Ben Sadler grew up Kenosha, WI. He went to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where he met his wife Emily. They have three children: Shelby, Jonah, and Annie. Previously, Pastor Ben and his family served a Spanish speaking congregation in Orlando, FL. They have been serving at Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church in Goodview, MN since March 2014.   He is the chairman of WELS Freedom for the Captives, a ministry with the goal of “Helping the Body of Christ serve as a support system for child abuse survivors.”  (The FFTC website is freedomforcaptives.com.)

We have four council positions opening this spring. They are Coordinator, Coordinator-Elect, Secretary, and Communications Coordinator.  Details about these positions can be found in the WELS Nurses Asociation Guidelines.
Please prayerfully consider offering to serve in one of these positions. Contact Wendy Crary at welsnurses@wels.net for more information or if you would like to run for a position.
